The role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive or early stage Business Development Manager to join us on a full time basis in our Perth, Melbourne or Sydney office. Part time applicants who are able to work on a 0.8 FTE (i.e. 4 days per week) basis will also be considered. As part of our national Clients & Markets team, you will report to a Senior Business Development Manager and work with a small team focused on a portfolio of strategic growth areas for the firm, including the Energy sector, Energy Transition opportunities and our multi-practice ESG focus. From time to time, you may also be deployed to support other future-facing growth areas such as our Technology sector and Digital Transformation opportunities.
Broadly, your role will involve:
Assisting with the development and execution of business development and profiling plans for the allocated practice/industry teams.
Devising and executing campaigns to raise awareness, position expertise and generate leads.
Undertaking research,bid and tender activity, directory submissions and producing capability and credentials documentation.
Assisting with execution of account management plans for priority clients identified by the allocated practice/industry teams.
Working with the events and webinar team to deliver practice/industry teams events and webinars.
Working with the communications team and relevant Partners to profile the practice/industry teams and their expertise through media and digital channels.
Championing the use of Marketing and BD systems and information repositories, ensuring that all Practice Assistants are trained
Managing the BD budget for allocated practice/industry teams.
You will need to be an energetic, driven and focussed individual, with a strong understanding of Marketing and Business Development in a B2B services environment (preferably, a medium to large sized national or international Professional Services Firm). You will be able to deal with a variety of different personalities and confidently address issues, all the while demonstrating your commitment to client service excellence.
