As the Head of Marketing, you will drive the growth of the consumer base in MENA and South Asia (excluding India). The main focus will be on MENA, but experience in South Asia will be an added advantage.
The Head of Marketing will work in our Dubai office and lead a team of Marketing Managers and Social Media Managers and work in close collaboration with cross-functional leadership teams such as Artist & Label, Editorial, Brand Partnerships, Growth Marketing, Content Marketing, Product, Business Development, Communications, and Market Management to effectively acquire, activate and retain Spotify consumers in the MENA and South Asia’s key markets. This individual will work in a fast-growing, dynamic environment where people management, leadership, interpersonal skills and critical thinking are vital to success.
What you’ll do
Develop Spotify’s local consumer-centric marketing strategy, plans and execution to drive rapid user acquisition!
Provide strong leadership and support to the team, articulating a clear vision for growth
Consistently champion the Spotify brand values, people values and Social Impact initiatives, acting as a role model both within the team and externally
Deliver focused, attributable, large scale coordinated marketing programs to accelerate acquisition of addressable market
Provide counsel to the leadership team and cross-functional partners (media and societal trends, growth opportunities, competitive landscape)
Drive alignment, understanding and adoption of target audiences across all partners
Understand MENA + South Asia consumer demand and deliver a focused x-functional effort
Identify untapped growth target audiences, informed by first and third party data; deliver outstanding content and marketing solutions through direct and partner channels
Work closely with Spotify’s in-house creative agency to develop the best in-class brand marketing campaigns!
Develop consumer marketing strategies to successfully establish the Spotify brand; driving awareness, growth and dedication through traditional media, digital, social, partnerships and owned channels
Leverage existing relationships with global and local partners to extend speed to market, reach and ongoing consumer engagement for Spotify
Work closely with Content Teams to drive the music + podcast industry agenda and ensure content priorities are aligned to our core audiences’ needs.
Manage the marketing budget to ensure the marketing programs that are implemented are optimized for return on investment
Qualification & Experience requirement:-
A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in consumer, digital media, e-commerce or entertainment marketing with an international brand covering the MENA region, with South Asia experience being a strong advantage
End-to-end experience of the marketing process from initial briefing all the way to execution
Perfect level of written and spoken English and Arabic
A proven leader experienced in building and leading diverse teams along with a collaborative approach
Proven track record of converting high-level business and marketing strategy into tangible, effective local marketing execution across channels
Data and value driven, adept at analyzing and interpreting data and using it to set and track KPIs
Excellent negotiating, presentation skills
Highly customer focused and data literate. Able to interrogate market, consumer and customer data and present recommendations on market and consumer
Comfortable with working in a matrixed environment including at senior levels
Portfolio of strong consumer marketing campaigns resulting in customer acquisition and business partnerships, including across traditional and digital/social platforms
Experience with selecting and handling external agency relationships across countries and diverse regions.

What you’ll do
Support MENA Sales in selling ad space in order to grow advertising revenues by creating, maintaining, and sustaining relationships with media agencies, creative agencies and clients directly
Work in collaboration with Sales Partners across various agency departments, i.e. radio, digital, branded content, to deliver successful campaigns
Develop and be responsible for the AdSales Strategy for the region to maximize longterm revenue growth
Focus on the brand sell; educating and inspiring our MENA partner to sell Spotify’s advertising solutions
Meet and exceed advertising revenue targets
Mentor partners on the Programmatic advertising landscape where needed
Set up scalable, efficient processes for the Sales Partner

Experience Requirement : Significant experience in a media agency/online sales role. Experience in working with Sales Houses or Re-sellers in the past is preferred

A great negotiator and ability to present effectively and close deals
